You may have heard of the lemonade diet which is more commonly known as the master cleanse due to celebrities like Beyonce doing it and having success with it. Of course, just because a celebrity does it does not necessarily mean it is effective. However, in the case of this special diet, many people are having a lot of success losing weight and feeling much better throughout their entire body after going through the entire process properly. The
real key is following the process and sticking with it, which can get difficult in the first couple days as your body adjusts to it.
The first part of the lemonade diet is considered to be optional, so if you want to expidite the whole process you might consider skipping it. Essentially, you start out by eating only living food like fruits and vegetables for the first day. The next day, you ingest only soups, smoothies, or juice to prepare the body for the all liquid diet. It is effective because the nutrients are more quickly absorbed in liquids than in solid food. The last day of preparation entails orange juice alone, and maple syrup can be added to boost your caloric intake.
As for the lemonade diet itself, that involves 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 8 ounces of water, and 1/10th of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder mixed into a large glass. It is recommended that you have at least 6 to 12 of these glasses each day you are on the diet. The length of time people continue this varies greatly but it is generally recommended to try for at least one to two weeks. It is vital that water is consumed in a good quantity throughout the process as well.
When you have completed the lemonade diet, it is important to ease your body out of the process. This is simply a reversal of the ease in, where you will have orange juice the first day, soups, smoothies, and juice the second day, and live foods like fruits and vegetables the third day. It is important to remember that this part is not optional, and will get your body used to a traditional diet again. Of course, if you want to keep the weight off, you should continue to eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables.
